To begin with, we prepare a suitable container, which should be at least twenty-five liters in volume. Then I wash the wheat and put it in a container. Mine is good. Next, fill the washed wheat with water so that it rises above the grain level by 2-3 cm. Add 0.8 kg of granulated sugar, mix everything. We put the container in a dark place and keep it at room temperature for 5 days. We do not cover the container with a lid. During this time, fermentation should begin - bubbles will appear on the surface, you can observe a sour smell.

We heat 15 liters of water. Not much - to a warm state (no more than 40 degrees Celsius). Pour 3 kg of sugar into the water, mix until the crystals completely dissolve. Then the resulting mixture is poured into the fermented grain. We install a hydraulic seal on the grain container and put it in a dark warm place for 5 days. It is important that the temperature is at room temperature, that is, not lower than 20 degrees.

After the specified time, the fermentation process, as a rule, comes to an end. This will be evidenced by the absence of bubbles, and the braga will taste unsweetened. The lower the room temperature, the slower the fermentation process. If the fermentation has not stopped after 5 days, we increase the time by another 1-2 days.

The braga is drained, without affecting the sediment, through several layers of gauze into the alembic. We distill the braga. As a result, approximately 3 liters of strong liquid (up to 80 degrees) is obtained from the specified amount of ingredients. We dilute it with water to get a fortress of 45-50 degrees. We use an alcohol meter.

Pour the liquid into the bottle. Add a few crystals of potassium permanganate and leave for a few days under the lid and at room temperature. During this time, black flakes will appear in the liquid. Next, we build a carbon filter: in the watering can we alternate layers of cotton wool and charcoal. Three layers are enough, we start and finish with a layer of cotton wool. Pour sugar and soda on the top layer. Then we pass the liquid through the filter in a thin stream. This filter is designed for 3 liters of vodka.

Filtered vodka is bottled, sealed tightly with lids and removed to the cellar to brew for 5 days.

The drink is ready!
