My best friend always treats the kids with this treat. I borrowed this recipe from her, and my kids just love such delicious, but very useful candied carrot candies. At first glance, their preparation seems laborious, but in fact, most of the time everything happens by itself. So, we clean the carrots, wash them and cut them into cubes or cubes. Next, we cook the syrup from water and sugar until it thickens slightly, and drop the chopped carrots into it for 15 minutes. Turn off the fire and leave for a few hours. Then boil again and leave to infuse. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times until the carrot pieces become transparent, and at the last boiling add lemon juice. Next, we throw all the contents into a colander to drain the syrup and lay out the pieces on a napkin to dry (you can dry them in the oven). Ready-made candied carrots need to be rolled in sugar so that they do not stick together, candied fruits are stored in a jar with a lid in a dark place without access to direct sunlight for a couple of weeks. If stored longer, they will dry out like a slug. According to the same principle, you can prepare candied fruits from citrus crusts. This food will appeal to both adults with a sweet tooth and those who adhere to fasting. Simple, cheap and extremely tasty!
