Cooking method

Cooking time: 3 h 40 min

We need only two ingredients to prepare this long-lasting and delicious homemade delicacy. Plum pastille will be prepared by us according to the classical method.

Prepared plum fruits, devoid of tails and seeds, cut in half. Cook them in a saucepan for an hour. At the same time, we do not add water to them, the plum is cooked in its own juice.

After the end of cooking, we pass the plum half-crust through the small holes of the sieve.

The resulting puree is returned to the pan. We cook it for two hours, stirring with a spoon. Half an hour before the end of cooking, we pour sugar to the plum and help it dissolve, evenly distributing the additive by weight. The finished jam has not been pastilled yet. He should cool down.

After pouring it on a baking sheet covered with oiled baking paper. We distribute it over the entire surface of the baking sheet. Put it in a preheated oven. We keep it in it for 15 minutes, at a temperature of up to 80-90 degrees. The pastille will cook the faster, the thinner the layer smeared on the baking sheet. It is quite possible to dry the jam in portions, in turn.
