Kutabs with meat in Azerbaijani

Incredibly delicious dish of Azerbaijani cuisine! Kutabs are a dish resembling chebureks, but there is a difference both in taste and in preparation. The dough here is thin, the filling is juicy, in general - just super tasty! I like to cook kutabs for the future and freeze some of them. In the presented recipe, the number of ingredients is calculated exactly for this)) If you are not going to freeze, feel free to divide in half.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 hours

First of all, we will prepare the filling. To do this, we wash the meat, cut it into pieces. Peel the onion and wash it. We pass the prepared meat, onion and fat through a meat grinder. Add salt and pepper to the resulting minced meat, mix (if the minced meat is dry, add a little water - 1-2 tablespoons).

While the minced meat is infused, prepare the dough. The process is very simple: sift the flour into a bowl, add salt, pour in water, knead. The dough should not stick to your hands, be elastic.

Divide the dough into parts, forming a sausage from each of them. While working with one part, the rest should be covered with a towel.

We divide the sausage into parts, thinly roll out each part into a round cake. We put minced meat on one half, distribute it evenly and cover the other half of the tortilla, carefully seal the edges.

Fry the kutabs in a dry frying pan on both sides, then grease each pie with butter and sprinkle with sumac.

We serve kutabs on the table hot.

How delicious it is after all!
