Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 25 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Ka4k to make cauliflower boiled? Fill a pot of suitable size with water and put it on medium heat. At this stage, you can cover the pan with a lid so that the water heats up faster. Bring the water to a boil.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

As soon as the water boils, add salt to the pan to taste. I add a teaspoon of salt. But since everyone tastes different, you may need a different amount of it.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Cauliflower can be used both fresh and frozen. Fresh must first be rinsed under running water and disassembled into inflorescences. Be sure to check the cabbage for pests. If you have frozen cauliflower, then it does not need to be defrosted. But sometimes it happens that it sticks together in one big lump, so it also needs to be disassembled into inflorescences.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Lower the cabbage into boiling water and cook without a lid for about ten minutes after re-boiling the water over medium heat. Cabbage should boil well, but not turn into porridge. The cooking time is the same for both fresh and frozen cauliflower. If you like slightly crispy vegetables, then the cooking time should be slightly reduced. It is believed that if you cover the pot with a lid at this stage, the cabbage will turn yellow.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

If you need to stir the cabbage during cooking, then do it as carefully as possible so as not to violate the integrity of the delicate inflorescences. For example, I didn't stir the cabbage at all during cooking. By the way, the shorter the heat treatment time, the more benefit will remain in the inflorescences.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Put the cabbage in a colander and wait a couple of minutes for the water to drain. After this stage, boiled cauliflower is immediately served to the table.

Before serving, a side dish of boiled cauliflower can be flavored with your favorite spices, drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with cheese grated on a fine grater or simply decorated with finely chopped fresh herbs. For example, parsley or dill are ideal here.

Bon appetit!
