Cooking time: 1 h 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients needed to make Dumplings with strawberries. Any berries will do, but it is more convenient to make dumplings from small berries. If the strawberry is too large, then it can be cut into two or three parts.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

To prepare the dough, first dissolve one teaspoon of salt in warm water.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

We drive an egg into the sifted flour and pour salt water into a thin stream. Knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Please note that the amount of flour indicated in the recipe is approximate, since the density of flour varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. You may need a little more or less flour. The main thing is not to mix the dough so that it does not become too steep. Otherwise, dumplings with strawberries will be tough and not tasty. We put the finished dough in a bag for 30 minutes to rest.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Then once again knead the dough for dumplings with strawberries until it becomes smooth and pliable. Mix sugar and starch in a ratio of two to one. Starch will slightly thicken the juice that will be released from the berries during cooking. Strawberries are washed under running water, remove the tails.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Divide the dough into three or four parts. Each part is rolled into a bundle, then cut into small pieces. The pieces are rolled a little in flour and rolled into tortillas. Put a couple of strawberries on the sticky side of each tortilla and pour half a teaspoon of a mixture of sugar and starch.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Connect the edges of the tortilla from the dough and make a dumpling. In this way we sculpt all the dumplings. We spread the dumplings on a dish or a board sprinkled with flour. If you are not going to cook them right away, then we send the dumplings to the freezer. After freezing, carefully remove the dumplings and put them in a bag for further storage.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Start cooking dumplings with strawberries. We salt the water and put it on the fire. We lower the dumplings into boiling water, stirring constantly with a slotted spoon. Cook from the moment of boiling for 2-3 minutes, no more. We catch dumplings with strawberries with a slotted spoon, add butter, sprinkle with sugar. Decorate with berries when serving. We serve sour cream together with dumplings.
