Potatoes in milk as a side dish for meat or fish dishes. I've never made such potatoes. I usually add milk to mashed potatoes. Therefore, this recipe came as a surprise to me. Potatoes are soaked in milk and get a delicate taste. A wonderful side dish.

    Boil milk with a pinch of salt and ground coriander.

    Peel garlic. If the teeth are very large, you can cut them lengthwise into 2-3 parts.

    Put the potatoes in a baking dish.

    Spread the garlic cloves and pieces of butter on top. Pepper the potatoes.

    Bake potatoes in a preheated 180 ° C oven for about 40 minutes. Then remove the potatoes from the oven, remove the foil. Tubers are well baked in milk and they can be consumed. And you can put it in the oven for 15-20 minutes and bake until a golden crust appears on the potatoes.

    Serve immediately while the potatoes are hot. This potato is suitable for a side dish, and can also be consumed as an independent dish. Ready potatoes can be sprinkled with chopped herbs, such as dill, parsley or green onions. Enjoy your meal!

Potatoes for this dish can not only be baked whole, but also cut into small thin slices - then the finished dish will resemble a puff casserole. You can also cut potatoes into medium cubes.

Milk can be completely replaced with fatter cream of 10-20% fat content. In addition to coriander, you can add any other spices to taste to the milk, for example, a special spice mixture for potato dishes.
