Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 15 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a salad with crackers, corn and sausage? Prepare the ingredients. Use canned corn, you will need 1 jar. Cucumbers are fresh. I take semi-smoked sausage (servelat), but you can also take smoked. Cheese is suitable for both hard and semi-hard, the main thing is that it is of high quality and tasty. I use regular mayonnaise, you can take homemade.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Open the tin of canned corn carefully with a can opener. Drain the liquid by dropping the grains on a sieve. Put the canned corn in a deep salad bowl or bowl.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Peel the half-smoked sausage from the shell and cut into strips or cubes. Add the sliced sausage to the salad bowl with corn.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Add the grated cheese to the salad bowl to the previously prepared ingredients.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Wash the fresh cucumbers, cut off the tips and cut them in the same way as the sausage. Add the sliced cucumbers to the salad.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Remove the crackers from the package and add them to the salad. It is better to choose crackers with a not pronounced taste. You can use home-made crackers. Season the salad with mayonnaise, mix. I do not add salt, as both sausage and mayonnaise are quite salty. But you can try the salad and add salt to your liking. Immediately serve the salad on the table so that the crackers do not get wet and lose their crispness.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

If you make a salad in advance, then put the crackers and mayonnaise just before serving. Salad can be served in a common salad bowl, garnished with fresh herbs, or you can make it in portions using a serving ring.

Such a salad, of course, is not for summer time and everyday snack. Because of the hearty ingredients - sausage, cheese, mayonnaise, this salad is more suitable for the winter season, and for a festive table, when you need to diversify the cold table with a hearty salad and feed the guests.

The salad will look nice and neat if you cut all the ingredients into pieces of the same size and shape (for example, cubes).

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See the interesting ones here homemade mayonnaise recipes.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.

How to buy canned corn correctly? Be sure to check the expiration date on the jar. If the container is glass, carefully consider the grains. They should be the same size and color, solid and spotless. The composition should not contain dyes, preservatives and flavor enhancers.
