Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the products necessary for making ginger tea with lemon. You will need a fresh ginger root (juicy, not old and not dry), half a lemon and 500 ml of water. You can add sweeteners to your taste: honey, sugar, syrup. If you use honey, it is better that it be liquid. My lemon is not very large. The water should be exceptionally clean, without any impurities and flavors.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Peel the ginger root (carefully cut off the outer skin/skin) and cut into small cubes. You can grate the root on a fine grater. In general, for the preparation of such a drink, you can use a drying ginger root (there will already be a lot of fibers in it), but such tea will have a more aggressive burning taste.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Put the crushed ginger in a saucepan or saucepan, pour in clean water and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat or turn off the stove. Let stand for 5-10 minutes. The longer the tea is infused, the more burning its taste will be.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

At the half of a lemon, cut off one circle completely and put it in a large serving cup. Squeeze out the juice from the remaining lemon in any convenient way.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Strain the infused ginger tea through a fine strainer and add lemon juice. Mix it up. Add sweeteners to taste and if desired, stir again. Pour the finished ginger tea with lemon into a large cup with a lemon circle and serve to the table. Such a drink is good both in a warm and cooled form. Have a nice tea party!

To add variety and enrich the taste, along with crushed ginger, you can add a few leaves of mint or lemon balm. The tea will acquire a mint note and become even more fragrant!
Alternatively, you can try using lime instead of lemon. The drink will acquire an exceptional taste and aroma! This is an interesting solution for lovers of experiments and gourmets!
