Prepare yourself a delicious treat for tea! As for me, this is the most successful of such recipes, and I have tried more than one to achieve the desired result. Both relatives and guests love this unusual treat for tea. Suitable for light alcoholic beverages ;)

To begin with, the oranges need to be thoroughly washed, dry them with paper towels and cut into circles about half a centimeter thick.

Boil water in a small saucepan and immerse the circles in boiling water for a few minutes. This is necessary so that all the bitterness comes out of the orange. Then remove the orange circles from the water, spread out on a paper towel, wait until they dry a little. You can help the process by wetting the moisture with napkins.

Put a layer of sugar in a saucepan on the bottom, put a layer of oranges on it, then pour sugar again. Continue to lay out the oranges in layers, interspersed with sugar. When the oranges are laid out, pour the remaining sugar on top of them.

Fill the oranges with half a liter of water - it can be a little less or more. The main thing here is that the oranges are completely covered with liquid, but excess moisture is also not needed.

Put the pot with the future delicacy on medium heat, bring to a boil. After that, reduce the heat to a minimum and keep the oranges in boiling syrup for about 1.5 hours. The peel of oranges should become transparent and soft.

Remove the oranges from the syrup, spread them on a layer of paper. Let the orange slices cool down.

At this time, preheat the oven to 100 degrees. Put the orange circles there to dry for 20 minutes. They need to be put on baking paper. Look at the oranges every couple of minutes - they can easily burn.

Caramelized oranges are ready! Wait until they cool down and you can serve treats to the table. Such oranges are well stored in an ordinary glass jar.

Sweet tea party!
