Homemade Oatmeal Yogurt

Healthy and delicious food for breakfast or dinner. Cook and enjoy! Of course, oatmeal yogurt does not look like a popular fermented milk drink, but, nevertheless, it is very, very tasty. I like to eat it for breakfast, especially with all sorts of sweet additives. Good with the characteristic taste of oatmeal (this is exactly what this yogurt will taste like) cinnamon, nuts, honey are combined.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 3 d 8 h 25 min

To begin with, we wash the grits. Then we wash the flakes. Both are filled with water. You don't need too much water - its level should be only 1 cm above the level of cereals. If the liquid has absorbed too quickly, add a little more water.

We leave the cereals to swell overnight (at least 8 hours).

After a while, we combine the swollen flakes and cereals. Carefully grind them with a blender. Pour the resulting mass into a glass jar, cover it with several layers of gauze. We leave the cereals to ferment for 1-3 days at room temperature.

The cooking speed depends on the ambient temperature. The warmer the room, the faster the process goes. Do not forget to mix the future delicacy from time to time. Try it to determine the degree of readiness.

From the finished oatmeal yogurt, pour a small amount to prepare the next batch. This will significantly save time in the future.

Oatmeal yogurt is ready. Add fruits or berries, syrup or honey, nuts, grated chocolate or something else to your own taste.

Bon appetit and be healthy!
