Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a delicious puff salad with smoked chicken? Very simple! First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. The ingredients can be supplemented or replaced to your liking. You can take store-bought mayonnaise or cook it yourself.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Peel the smoked breast from the skin and bones and cut into small cubes. You can replace the breast with meat from smoked hams. Smoked chicken can be replaced with boiled, fried or baked in the oven.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Wash and dry the cucumber. Cut into small strips or small cubes. The skin, if it is not rough, not damaged and not bitter, is not necessary to cut off. But to make the salad more tender, I cut off the skin.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Peel the bell pepper from the seeds and cut into small cubes. To make the salad look beautiful and bright, I took a yellow pepper.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Drain the liquid from the canned pineapples, dry them. If the pineapples are rings, then cut them into small pieces. It is advisable to squeeze the pineapples slightly so that the salad is not watery.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Wash, dry and cut tomatoes into quarters, removing the core with seeds. Then cut the pulp into small cubes. Tomatoes need juicy, but dense. Soft fruits do not keep their shape well, in the process of slicing and cooking they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Wash the Peking cabbage, dry it and finely chop it.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

You can just mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl, but I prefer to make a salad in a cooking ring so that all the layers are visible. A ring with a diameter of 16-18 cm will do. Put the smoked chicken in the first layer and pour mayonnaise over it. I put the mayonnaise in a pastry bag and cut off the tip. This is more convenient than using a spoon.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put cucumbers on the chicken and pour mayonnaise.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

The next layer is pineapples and mayonnaise.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Then distribute the tomatoes and pour mayonnaise over them.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Next, put the bell pepper and pour over the mayonnaise.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

Sprinkle chopped Peking cabbage on top. Put the salad in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

  14. Step 14:

    Step 14.

Remove the cooking ring before serving. Bon appetit!

The salad will look nice and neat if you cut all the ingredients into pieces of the same size and shape (for example, cubes).

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
