Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make tartlets with cheese and garlic with crab sticks? First of all, do the stuffing. Prepare the products for her. Both crab sticks and crab meat, like mine, are suitable for cooking. If they have been frozen, then defrost them and release them from the film. Cheese is suitable for the type of Hohland, Almette, Cremette.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Put the crab meat in the bowl of a blender and whisk until smooth and pureed.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Wash the dill, dry it and chop it finely. Peel the garlic and pass it through the press.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

In a small salad bowl, combine cottage cheese, crab meat ground in a blender, crushed garlic and dill. Add salt to the mass (only gently, both cheese and meat are already salty enough), pepper and mix. You can mix until a uniform pinkish consistency. I stirred quite a bit, trying to evenly distribute the garlic, dill and spices, but at the same time preserve the white pieces of cheese. I wanted the roses to turn out to be marble.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Transfer the resulting cream into a pastry bag with a "closed star" nozzle. The size of the nozzle — the larger, the better.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Prepare the remaining ingredients. Wash the rosemary, dry it and disassemble it into small bundles of needles.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Wash cherry tomatoes, dry and cut into quarters.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Fill the tartlets with crab filling by squeezing the roses out of the pastry bag. If desired, 1 tsp of red caviar can be placed on the bottom of the tartlets before this.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Decorate the tartlets with red caviar, quarters of cherry tomatoes and rosemary needles. Serve the appetizer to the table. Enjoy your meal!

This snack is good to serve with white semi-sweet or dry wine.

Rosemary can be replaced with dill, parsley or other favorite herbs.

This filling goes very well with rye tartlets.

Those who do not like crab sticks can use peeled boiled shrimp, which also need to be crushed in a blender and mixed with cottage cheese. Do everything else as prescribed in the recipe.

How to buy crab sticks correctly? Be sure to pay attention to the expiration date of the product. Surimi meat (minced white fish) should appear in the list of ingredients in the first place. Important! Do not buy the product if there is frost on it. This is a sign of repeated freezing. Fresh sticks should be free of gray and yellow spots, elastic and slightly moist. If the product is sticky, it means it is spoiled.

The film in which each crab stick is wrapped is sometimes poorly removed. To facilitate the process, hold the sticks over the steam for 1-3 seconds.

Choose juicy tomatoes, but dense. Soft fruits do not keep their shape well, in the process of slicing and cooking they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.
