    Put the pepper in a basin or saucepan, add all the other ingredients: salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar, sunflower oil. Mix everything and leave it in the room for 3-4 hours.

    During this time, the pepper will go limp and give juice. Sterilize jars and lids in any way.

    Fold the resulting salad tightly into jars, pour the resulting liquid. Put it to be sterilized. You can sterilize pepper in the usual way: pour water into a tank / pan, put a towel on the bottom, put jars with lecho, pour water over the shoulders, bring to a boil. Sterilize 1-liter cans for 15 minutes. I use microwave sterilization. I put the jars and turn on the maximum power (for 5-7 minutes a half-liter jar).

    Screw the jars with sterile screw caps or twist caps. And send it under the blanket until it cools down completely. Store in a cool, dry place.

Lecho is prepared quite simply. The most time-consuming part of the recipe is to prepare the pepper, peel it from the seeds. This procedure can be entrusted even to children. The snack turns out to be very tasty, appetizing and fragrant. Such a pepper is good on a holiday as an addition to meat dishes, it is excellent to serve it in a fast to boiled / fried potatoes. Colorful strips of pepper are beautiful and juicy, they can be used as an integral part of other dishes (salads, soups, borscht).

Remember that spices such as salt, sugar, as well as vinegar and its substitutes are used in recipes for winter preparations not only for taste, but primarily as preservatives. Therefore, in no case should you reduce the concentration of salt and sugar, and also replace vinegar (essence) with a weaker concentration than indicated in the recipe, otherwise vinegar (salt / sugar) will not show their preservative properties and the workpiece will be spoiled.
