Cooking method

Cooking time: 4 hours

If guests are expected or you just want to please your loved ones with a homemade treat, you can prepare marmalade as a treat. We will cook it from jam. Which one? You can choose according to your taste preferences. And the cooking process itself is not complicated at all. So, let's get started:

1. Pour gelatin into a small container. Then fill it with warm water (it will be enough to pour 100 ml of liquid), leave it to stand until it swells.

2. Put the jam in a saucepan (or in a saucepan), then pour water (200 ml) to it, mix. We send the pan to the fire, bring its contents to a boil.

3. When the mass boils, we put the swollen gelatin into it. Mix the mass until the gelatin is completely dissolved, after which we keep everything on the fire together for a few more minutes (literally one or two) and remove the pan from the stove.

4. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the resulting mass, and then use an immersion blender to turn it into a homogeneous puree.

5. Filter the puree through a sieve or through gauze. This stage is necessary in order to make sure that there are no lumps. This is important in order to end up with a marmalade of a delicate and homogeneous consistency, as well as a beautiful appearance. After filtering, pour the mass into the mold and let the future marmalade cool to room temperature.

6. We send the form to the refrigerator for freezing for about three hours. You can keep it longer, for example, cook marmalade in the evening and leave it in the refrigerator until morning.

7. Before serving, cut the marmalade into pieces, sprinkle them with sugar on top.

Help yourself! Have a nice tea party!
