Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the necessary products. Of course, it is better to prepare such a snack in the vegetable season, when tomatoes are fresh and fragrant. If you cook it in winter, then try to take the tomatoes more thickly, but I always focus on their smell when choosing tomatoes and take the most fragrant ones. For this snack, tomatoes should be large enough, although you can take cherry if you are cooking for a buffet. Any greens will do - the main thing is fresh.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Cottage cheese for this dish can be used any, ideally.- homemade: skimmed cottage cheese is perfect, and even grained. If you have soft cottage cheese, then you can reduce the amount of sour cream - the main thing is that the mass holds its shape well. Sour cream can also be replaced with low-fat yogurt. Mix cottage cheese and sour cream, add a little salt to the mass. You can add some of your favorite spices: someone likes it sharper - you can use hot pepper or sweet paprika.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Wash the greens well, dry them, chop them and add them to the curd mass. Recently, I liked the way of chopping greens with scissors, not a knife. This is very convenient!

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Peel the garlic, chop it and also add it to the cottage cheese. I grate garlic on a fine grater, but you can chop it with a knife or pass it through a press. In the absence of fresh garlic, you can use garlic powder.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Mix the mass well until smooth. In principle, for a more piquant taste, you can add a little mayonnaise or completely replace sour cream with it.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Wash tomatoes well, dry them, carefully cut off the top. If the tomatoes are not very flat on the surface, then cut a little from the bottom side for more stability.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Remove the middle, leaving the walls of medium thickness. Tomatoes themselves do not need to be salted, otherwise they will release a lot of moisture and the snack will be excessively watery.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Fill the tomato cups with the resulting curd mass and serve immediately to the table. The appetizer tomatoes with cottage cheese and garlic is ready. Bon appetit!
