Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make sandwiches with red fish and cottage cheese? Prepare the products. Take any bread you like or have available — white, loaf, rye, baguette. I took wholegrain. The shape of the pieces can also be any. Any fish is also suitable — salmon, trout, pink salmon, chum salmon.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

If your bread is not sliced, then cut it into pieces 1-1.5cm wide. Lightly dry it in any way. I put the pieces on a baking sheet and put it literally for three minutes in the oven, preheated to 180 ° C. Inside it should remain soft, and outside it should become crispy. You can also toast bread in a frying pan or in a toaster.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

While the bread is drying and then cooling, prepare the spread for the sandwiches. Wash the greens and dry them well. I took parsley, dill and green onions will do well. Choose according to your taste or availability. Cut off the stiff stems, chop the leaves finely with a knife.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Put the cheese in a deep bowl. Cheese is suitable for cottage cheese, creamy, but not melted. You can take it already with any additives. Add herbs to the cheese, pour in a little lemon juice. Mix the cheese mass well.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Cut the fish into thin strips. It is convenient for such sandwiches to use ready-made fish slicing.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Spread cheese on bread. I do not regret the spread, I smear a thick layer, but it's a matter of taste — you can make a very thin layer. You can also transfer the cheese mass into a pastry bag and set it off with a curly nozzle. In this case, I advise you to add a little soft butter to the cheese so that it is convenient to squeeze the spread out of the bag — one cheese seemed to me too hard for this.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Arrange the pieces of fish on the cheese as your imagination tells you. You can twist roses out of them or make a snake, like mine. Or you can just put the fish on top. Additionally decorate the sandwiches as desired. Lemon, olives, capers, sprigs of greens, cranberries, cucumber are suitable. Serve to the table. Enjoy your meal!

How to choose the right olives? It is better to buy the product in a transparent package. So you can see their appearance and color. If the olives are too black, then food dyes have been added. The fruits should be elastic, whole, with a smooth, shiny skin. Too soft, overripe olives will not be stored for a long time.
