This is one of the Belarusian culinary recipes, which contains the products beloved by Belarusians. This is lard and bread kvass. Such a first course is good to cook in the village, where the choice of products is small, but there are always vegetables from the garden, a piece of bacon, flour and kvass from bread, which is very easy to prepare at home. What kind of food is still needed to eat quickly and deliciously in between hard physical labor on the field.
Let's get down to cooking. Take a saucepan and pour water into it. Add the bread kvass to it so that their ratio is 4 to 1. Put the pan on the fire and bring to a boil. Take the grits that you like. We usually take barley or wheat, save it and dilute it with water. Add to the pot in which the water with bread kvass has boiled. Cook the grits for five minutes, periodically constantly mixing. At this time, cut the bacon into pieces and fry it with onion and celery. Put them in a saucepan. Season the vereshchaka with salt and pepper to taste. Then put the pan in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
