Trout sushi is a very tasty cold appetizer, and is usually used at the beginning of the meal, before serving the main dishes.
Although trout are found mainly in the northern latitudes, but recently they have learned to breed it en masse in some provinces of Vietnam. From the tender and exquisite meat of this fish, many delicious dishes are prepared in Vietnam. But it is possible to single out among this multitude one that is considered the most popular in this country – this is trout sushi. Unlike many other fish, fresh trout has a unique taste and aroma.
The main highlight of this dish, of course, are spices and seasonings. This food does not require any special seasonings and spices, all of them can be easily found on sale here. Spices such as ginger, dill, black and red pepper, and others are suitable. But the most important seasoning in this recipe is mustard.
First peel the trout, remove the bones and cut into strips half a centimeter long. We will arrange the strips neatly and evenly on a plate. Fresh greens and chopped ginger strips are placed between each piece of fish. In this form, the dish is served on the table.
It is quite acceptable to use other seasonings and spices. There is a place for experiments here.
We will serve mustard and soy sauce in separate cups. Rice paper is also served separately.
The participants of the meal take their own pieces of fish, herbs, seasonings and wrap them in rice paper. They also use mustard and sauce on their own.
