Kefir dough is like fluff without yeast

Excellent dough recipe, and most importantly – without yeast! From a soft, like fluff, dough without yeast, excellent pies are made, baked in the oven or deep-fried. I use it to make pizza, donuts, pampushki and much more. The recipe itself is very simple and many housewives will like it!

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

We prepare all the ingredients for making kefir dough without yeast. The amount of sugar must be adjusted in advance depending on the future product (pizza, pie, pampushki). If the product is sweet, then we leave the amount of sugar the same, if the product is not sweet, it is better to reduce the amount of sugar. It is also better to focus on your taste.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pour kefir into a bowl for kneading dough, pour granulated sugar, salt and baking soda. Carefully knead everything with a whisk so that all the loose ingredients dissolve, and the kefir begins to foam. Soda should be added to kefir, and not when adding dough, since it is well extinguished by kefir.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Then add vegetable oil and mix again with a whisk.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Pour half of the flour sifted through a sieve into a bowl and knead thoroughly with a wooden spoon. As a result, the dough should turn out soft, like fluff, so we introduce flour gradually. We continue to introduce flour until the dough acquires the desired consistency. If necessary, add more flour.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

When the dough gathers into a ball, we shift it onto a floured work surface and knead it with our hands. It feels like the dough should turn out like yeast and be slightly sticky. You can start working with the finished dough right away, but I recommend letting it rest for 10-15 minutes, covered with a towel.

Not everyone knows how to work with fresh or dry yeast, and this recipe is a good alternative. Simple, fast and delicious! And it takes much less time to prepare such a dough than for yeast. In general, there are some advantages.
Some housewives add soda to the dough itself, but I recommend adding soda to kefir, as it is well extinguished in it. If you add soda to the dough, it will give a taste to the finished product, which not everyone likes.
