Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a salad with sorrel, egg and cucumber? You will need a simple set of products, prepare them in advance. Fill the eggs with cold water and put them to boil. After boiling, reduce the heat to medium and cook the eggs for about ten minutes.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Peel the onion, the greens, and the cucumber well. Wash the fresh sorrel leaves thoroughly under running water and dry them with paper towels. I add more spinach leaves to this salad, but you don't have to do that.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

If you decide to add spinach after all, then cut off the stalks from the spinach leaves. Cut the leaves into medium-sized strips.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

    Cut sorrel leaves similarly.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Cut the onion in half, chop each half with thin feathers (if desired, you can cut it into thin half rings).

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

    Cool and peel boiled eggs.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

    Cut them into four pieces.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

In a plate or in a salad bowl, put the first layer of spinach, then sorrel, sliced cucumber, onion and olives (or olives).

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put eggs on top, pour oil, salt and pepper with allspice.

A few words about why, in my opinion, it is worth adding spinach to this salad. This is a very useful plant, it contains a large amount of vitamins and minerals such as: A, B2, B6, C, E, K, magnesium, iron, calcium, nicotine and omega-3 fatty acids and so on.

Nowadays, spinach can be found in almost any supermarket or grown in your garden or on the windowsill.

Sorrel, in turn, is not inferior to spinach in its beneficial properties, it contains organic acids, mineral salts, vitamins and so on.

Tip: before serving, mix all the salad ingredients well, taste with salt.

I sometimes add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the salad and use olive oil instead of vegetable oil, so the taste becomes, as it seems to me, even brighter.

Bon appetit!

How to cook hard-boiled eggs? So that the eggs do not crack when cooking, put them in cold water and put them to cook on a small fire. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then pour cold water and cool. From a sharp temperature drop, the shell will be better cleaned.

Be sure to wash the eggs before use, as even the seemingly clean shell may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush.
