Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a pita bread roll with chicken and cheese? This snack is prepared very quickly, literally, in 15 minutes, if the products for it are prepared in advance. Rinse the chicken fillet under running water and boil in salted water. It is enough to cook for about 20 minutes from the moment the broth boils, if a piece of meat is small. You can use meat from any other part of the chicken, the main thing is to separate it well from the bones.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Let the chicken fillet cool and cut it into small pieces. Grate the hard cheese on a grater or finely chop it with a knife.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add pickled cucumbers to the ingredients for the snack. They will give the filling piquancy and a pleasant sourness. Cut the pickled cucumber into cubes.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Walnuts will improve the taste of the snack and make it more refined and pleasant. Wash the peeled walnuts, dry them in the oven, in the microwave or in a dry frying pan without oil. Finely chop them with a knife or chop them with a rolling pin.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Wash fresh dill and parsley, dry on a paper towel and cut with a knife.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Peel the onion from the husk and cut into cubes.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Put all the cooked ingredients in a deep bowl or blender bowl and chop. However, the mass should not become mushy, small particles of nuts and other ingredients should be felt in the filling of the roll.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Fill the roll filling with mayonnaise. If the filling doesn't taste salty enough, add salt to taste and mix.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Unwrap the thin Armenian lavash on the working straight surface. Lavash can be large rectangular or small round, any of them will need to be rolled into a roll. If the pita bread is fresh, it is soft and moist enough, it can be immediately spread with filling, evenly distributing it over the entire surface. If the pita bread has already lain at home for a few days, then most likely it has dried up, it is also suitable for making such a snack, then it needs to be soaked in mayonnaise.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

To do this, carefully unwrap the pita bread so as not to tear, apply a thin layer of mayonnaise, let it soak and spread the filling. Roll the pita bread with the filling into a roll. Wrap the pita bread roll in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour so that the roll takes the desired shape.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Serve the lavash roll with chicken and cheese to the table. Enjoy your meal!

How to choose the right pita bread? First of all, look at the date of manufacture on the package. Do not take expired pastries. Fresh pita bread should have a pleasant smell. Take a good look so that there are no stains and signs of mold on it.

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
