Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 3 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make an incredibly delicious Favorite Salad? Very simple! First, prepare the necessary ingredients. Pork tongue can be replaced with beef. Instead of ham, take smoked carbonade, neck or ham. Replace pickled mushrooms with fried ones.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Cut the onion into half rings, put it in a bowl and pour boiling water. Add vinegar and sugar and leave to marinate for 10 minutes. Then drain the marinade. You can replace white onions with red onions or salad shallots, which do not need to be pickled at all. If you don't like onions in salads, you can not add it at all.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Peel the ham from the factory film and cut into strips.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Pre-boil pork tongue in boiling salted water for about 1.5-2 hours until tender. Fill the finished tongue with cold water, peel and cut into cubes.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Pre-boil chicken fillet in salted water for 20-25 minutes until tender. Cool the meat and cut into strips.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Remove the pickled mushrooms from the marinade and cut into strips or quarters. I had already chopped mushrooms.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Cut the cucumber into strips. I advise you to cut off the skin so that the salad turns out to be softer in texture.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Wash the greens, dry them and chop them finely. In addition to parsley, you can use any greens to taste: dill, basil, cilantro, etc. Or even use a mixture of different herbs.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

In a bowl, combine pork tongue, chicken, ham, pickled onions, mushrooms, cucumbers and herbs. Season the salad with mayonnaise and mix. If desired, you can additionally add salt and pepper to the salad, but I do not add spices to salads with mayonnaise.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Before serving, put the salad in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. If you prepare a salad in advance, for example in the evening, then do not fill it with mayonnaise. Refuel immediately before serving.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Put the salad on a beautiful plate and serve it to the table, garnished with herbs. I also decorated it with fresh green peas. Enjoy your meal!

Since the degree of salinity, sweetness, bitterness, sharpness, acid, burning is individual for everyone, always add spices, spices and seasonings, focusing on your taste! If you put some of the seasonings for the first time, then keep in mind that there are spices that it is especially important not to shift (for example, chili pepper).

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
