Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 20 min

First of all, turn on the oven to warm up. The desired temperature is 180 degrees Celsius. While the oven is heating, we cook everything else.

Apples are thoroughly washed. For baking, in principle, any will do, but it is better to take those that are harder and with sourness. Highly starchy varieties risk losing a little integrity. You need to wash apples with warm water and very well. After wiping them with a clean towel. We cut off the lid of each apple and carefully cut out the core, trying to preserve the integrity of the apple. We must leave the peel on the apple, do not touch the bottom of the apples, so that each apple turns into a "cup".

In a separate medium-sized container, mix the ground spices: cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. We pour brown sugar and chopped walnuts to them, mix everything thoroughly. Next, we stuff the prepared apples with this mixture.

Pour water into the baking dish. It should be drinkable. Place the apples carefully, spread the butter on top of each one - divide the specified amount into four pieces. The form is covered with a double layer of foil and placed in the oven that has had time to warm up for 30 minutes. If the apples are not baked during this time, you can increase the time by another 5-10 minutes.

Well, while the apples are baking in the oven, we will prepare caramel sauce. To do this, heat granulated sugar in a saucepan with a thick bottom. Heating is average. We melt it to an amber color, but we need to be careful not to burn it. Melt the butter, and whisk the cream. Add the butter and cream to the caramel and mix well. At this stage, you need to be extremely careful not to get burned.

Remove the pan from the heat and let the caramel cool down a little.

Baked apples are served warm on the table, sprinkled with caramel and put vanilla ice cream on top of the apple.

You can enjoy! Bon appetit!
