Peking cabbage salad with olive oil and corn

Light, juicy and moderately sweet healthy salad! Such a salad can be eaten without fear that it will somehow affect the figure, since it is dietary. The only exception is the oil used in its preparation, and even then, there is very little of it.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 25 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

First of all we will deal with the main ingredient of this salad, namely Peking cabbage. At the beginning, wash it under cold running water, then shake it over the sink to get rid of excess water. Then wipe it with a kitchen towel and let it dry a little so that the water that remains between the salad leaves does not get into the salad. Now cut off the stalk, we won't need it. Chop the Peking cabbage.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Shake the already chopped cabbage with your hands a little. This is done so that the cabbage becomes softer and the finished salad would turn out to be more tender and soft. Put the finished cabbage in a deep container.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Now open the jar of canned corn, drain the liquid in which it was (there should be no liquid in the salad), then add it to the cabbage container.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Drink the dill, dry it a little and chop it finely. Add the greens to the cabbage and corn.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Now pour in a little oil and add a little salt. Mix the salad so that all the ingredients are evenly distributed among themselves.

This salad is suitable not only for those who follow the diet and figure, but also for vegetarians and those who observe fasting. Oh, yes, I completely forgot, and for those who like to crunch!
Besides the fact that salad can be eaten as an independent dish, it can be served as a vegetable side dish, for example, to a piece of meat.
Also, to diversify the taste of the salad when preparing it, you can use other greens, for example, cilantro. By adding it, the taste of the salad will change dramatically, because this greenie has its own special specific taste. You can also change the taste of the salad by replacing the dressing. To do this, instead of butter, you need to add sour cream or mayonnaise (to make it less greasy, you can mix mayonnaise with olive oil, getting a more liquid dressing in consistency).
Experiment, because no matter how you cook this salad, it will still be delicious, as well as healthy, light and colorful.
